The Green River Outreach for Wilderness Foundation, (the GROW Foundation) is western Wyoming's premier traditional non-profit summer camp specializing in wilderness adventures for children, teens and young adults. Campers of the GROW Foundation learn self-reliance, teamwork and build confidence in themselves through educational experiences, while discovering new and exciting places. The Green River Valley Cowbelles/Cattlewomen, a non-profit organization, is a group of dedicated individuals whose objective is to develop educational awarness about BEEF & to promote a better understanding of the various roles the beef industry plays in the environment and the economy. The Cowbelles goals have not changed throughout the years - to maintain & increase the demand for beef & to promote a positive image of our industry, join today!
The Green River Valley Cowbelles/Cattlewomen have begun work on a new quilt for their quilt raffle at the Annual Cattlemen's Banquet in March. The money raised goes to promote beef nutrition awareness, beef /agriculture education in the classroom, scholarships, beef youth groups, local agricultural organizations and other educational or community needs. Raffle tickets are one for $1.00 or 6 for $5.00. You may also purchase scarves with brands. Cotton scarves are $5 each, or 3 for $12, and Rayon scarves are $15 each. Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the year, including the upcoming Home & Garden Show and during Green River Rendezvous Days.
Beef Certificates offered by the Cowbelles/Cattlewomen can be purchased through the First State Bank of Pinedale, First Bank in Pinedale and Bank of the West in Big Piney. These certificates make wonderful presents for holidays, birthdays and thank-you gifts.
